A mob of BLM extremists in Minneapolis has been chanting “if George don’t get it / burn it down” ahead of the verdict in the trial of Minnesota cop Derek Chauvin, in yet more evidence that the modern left is fundamentally opposed to the rights of due process and the rule of law.
The shocking scenes come less than a day after Judge Peter Cahill branded as “abhorrent” comments made by congresswoman Maxine Waters encouraging protesters to “stay on the streets” if Chauvin is acquitted, after a week of violent and criminal left-wing riots.
Responding to the disturbing footage, top US conservative pundit and legal expert Will Chamberlain said: “Exhibit 1 for why any conviction will be reversed on appeal“.
Despite calls from Judge Cahill for politicians to stop commenting on the case, US President Joe Biden has himself chimed in to say that he is “praying the verdict is the right verdict. The evidence is overwhelming in my view.”
Former right-hand man to Nigel Farage, Raheem Kassam, said that the footage was “banana republic stuff”, characterising Biden’s remarks as a sitting US President “demanding a specific verdict in a specific trial *despite* the evidence.”
Spectator USA Washington editor Amber Athey highlighted another key issue with Biden’s statement, warning that it “is deeply irresponsible and will certainly contribute to riots/unrest if the jury returns “not guilty”.”
She went on to add that she was “actually pretty stunned at how anti-justice system this statement is … the only thing he should be saying is that he respects the jury’s decision. Unreal.”
Reports now suggest that the jury had reached a verdict in remarkably short time, with the outcome of the case set to be revealed at 5pm EST (10pm UK time).
Local businesses in the Minneapolis area have already boarded up their windows and hunkered down in case left-wing riots break out if the outcome of an independent trial does not satiate their bloodlust.
