Paedo who raped schoolgirl battered in prison hours after guilty plea

A sexual deviant who kidnapped, raped and threatened to kill a 13-year-old on her way to school has been viciously attacked in prison just hours after admitting to his heinous crimes.

Kadian Nelson, 26, was arrested on Tuesday, 3 November for the attack and admitted to the crimes in a court appearance on Monday. He was remanded in custody until a sentencing hearing in August.

However, less than 48 hours after admitting to the sick offences, he was set upon by a fellow con in Wandsworth prison, south London.

A Prison Service spokeswoman gave a brief statement on the attack: “A prisoner was treated in hospital for an injury to his cheek – police are investigating.”

It is understood that after reaching treatment Nelson is now back in prison, however reports circulating on social media from someone with family in HMP Wandsworth claim the injuries were “life changing”.

The court heard how the paedophile attacker crept up on the schoolgirl as she walked to school in Mitchim around 7am last November.

Nelson covered his victim’s mouth and threatened to kill her before forcing her into a nearby alleyway and raping her. He then fled after being interrupted by the family member of a woman who saw the kidnap and called the authorities.

Former police officer Norman Brennan, commenting on the guilty plea said: “Folks, this is one of the cases we all put out an appeal on; what an horrendous ordeal that a 13-year-old schoolgirl went through; there was a massive outcry by local community over this.”

The case at the time received significant publicity on social media, forcing Scotland Yard to release a statement warning people not to “take the law into their own hands”.
